Bentek’s Development and Client Success teams work continuously to implement new features and improvements to the Bentek software.  Bentek Version 2020.5.3 includes the following key updates within the Administration and Employee Benefits Center Modules:

The entire Bentek site has been redesigned including the following updates to the User Interface (UI) [BT-20743]:

  • New login page with customized photo
  • New ADA compliant colors
  • Increased font sizes
  • New and improved icons
  • Improved record search
  • Drag and drop feature to upload documents
  • Enhanced Announcement design

Administration Module Enhancements include:

  • To assist with reporting necessary for the Affordable Care Act, the system will track plans that are voluntarily waived with effective and termination dates. Waived coverages will be displayed for Administrators on all applicable coverage records and appear on benefit enrollment summaries generated from Bentek. [BT-441]
  • An original hire date can now be stored in addition to hire date and job start date. [BT-438]
  • Years of service calculations can be set-up and tracked. [BT-22788]
  • Employee pension information can be set-up and tracked. [BT-22786]
  • Employee subsidy amounts and calculations can be set up and tracked. [BT-22172]
  • A Letters and Notices module has been added to Administrative Tools to allow administrators to upload their preferred files which can be utilized when generating reports. [BT-22785]
  • The ability to generate enrollment summaries for all, or certain members of the employee population has been added to the Reporting section. [BT-18135]
  • A pending approval workflow is now available for life and disability insurance elections made over the guaranteed issue benefit amount. [BT-20335]
  • The personnel import feature can be automated for those clients configured to utilize it. The time to import a file has been reduced. [BT-22934]
  • A Letters and Notices module has been added to Administrative Tools to allow administrators to upload their preferred files which can be utilized when generating reports. [BT-22785]

Employee Benefit Center Enhancements include:

  • A new employee launchpad (Home) has been added to include links to areas of the site, as well as provide important information on the status of enrollment sessions, pending submissions, and more. [BT-24035]
  • Employees can save their enrollment session should they choose to exit before submitting. [BT-24006]
  • Employees can navigate back to any previously completed step using the progress bar in an enrollment session. [BT-24006]
  • Employees can opt to submit a passive enrollment, allowing them to make no changes for an enrollment period. [BT-24006]
  • If configured, employees can make elections for life and disability insurance over the guaranteed issue benefit amount. These elections will show in a pending status until approved by a Client Administrator. [BT-20335]
  • The Beneficiary Designation section has been redesigned for an improved user experience. [BT-22951]

System updates are released during our weekly scheduled maintenance window on Sundays from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM. Only when necessary will an urgent patch be released outside the scheduled maintenance window. Bentek is committed to updating you on these changes made to the Bentek application before system maintenance is performed.

The Bentek application and videos are currently supported by the following browsers: Chrome version 44 and higher, Mozilla Firefox version 40 and higher, Microsoft Internet Explorer Version 10 or higher, Microsoft Edge 12 and higher, and Safari 9 and higher.
