Bentek’s Development and Client Success teams work continuously to implement new features and improvements to the Bentek software. Bentek Version 2021.5.0 includes the following key updates highlighted during our 2022 Bentek Users Summit and will be released on May 22nd, 2022 during our normal weekly maintenance window Sunday’s between 10:00 AM – 2:00PM ET.
Retiresweet
[BT-27799] [BT-31786] [BT-28884] [BT-31027]
New features and configuration options have been added to the Retiresweet module enhancing the capabilities of this comprehensive module. Updates include the following:
- The Payment Tracker can now support payment groups, which will allow premiums to be applied to a single benefit or multiple benefits based on client configuration. This feature has also been enhanced to support payment imports from third-party vendors including state retirement systems and banks managing ACH payments. Payments imported can be applied to multiple owed amounts. Administrators can also add and track payments directly within member records complete with access to full change history.
- New Subsidy configuration options have been added to support multiple types of subsidy rates and calculations so administrators can accurately track retiree premiums.
- A new default invoice template is now available with minimal set-up needed. The standard invoice includes a summary of benefit enrollment and premiums owed as well as payment history. The template can be branded with your logo and accommodate additional customizations upon request.
- When subsidies are configured, they will be reflected throughout the site where applicable including the benefit elections page, enrollment summaries, and confirmation statements.
- A new payment report has been added to the list of available reports within the Retiresweet module.
- The following Retiresweet widgets have been enhanced and are available to help manage your day-to-day retiree administration:
- Subsidies
- Pensions
- Delinquent Payments
- Amounts Owed
- Payments Received
- Payment Import Stats
Wellness Hub
[BT-27204, BT-31974, BT-31975]
- The Wellness Hub is a new comprehensive module created to help clients manage their wellness programs and participation. The module is equipped to support data imports from third-party vendors (clinics, insurance carriers, etc.) simplifying the tracking of completion status for biometric and other targets, while increasing visibility for employees to their program participation and target achievements.
- The Wellness Hub also supports wellness program activities so employees can manage their own participation, upload supporting documentation, view wellness achievements and any monies earned throughout the year.
- Administrators can leverage the tools within Bentek to manage participation directly within each employee record, access detailed reports, and view real-time statistics on the dashboard.
- The Wellness Hub also includes a dedicated Resources section, where employees can easily access all relevant program information and helpful resources. Documents posted in the Wellness Hub will display in the new carousel format, which displays the entire document on screen and allows users to view each page eliminating the need to download the document before viewing.
Reporting Module [BT-29962] [BT-32460]
- Newly generated census reports will now include the option for administrators to view generated data summarized in a bar graph or chart.
- A new ‘Benefit Changes’ template has been added to the Report Builder providing administrators with the capability to customize this highly utilized report. The Report Builder has also been enhanced to improve processing and reduce generation time.
User Experience Enhancements
- Administrators can now view contribution and deduction amounts simply by hovering over the new $ icon displayed on all coverage records. [BT-31995]
- The benefit summary and confirmation statements have been updated to display all waived coverages in a separate section for improved viewing.
The Beneficiary Designation module has been updated with the following enhancements [BT-30434]:- Administrators can now view all beneficiary fields including contact information.
- Administrators now have access to modify beneficiary information. This feature requires configuration and can be enabled upon request.
- All changes to beneficiary information are now viewable in the System Activity report.
- Beneficiary statements have been updated to display relevant contact information.
- Additional validation has been added to ensure all required information is added when users add a beneficiary that is a minor.
Widgets & Notifications:
Bentek’s administration dashboards and notification system have been enhanced to include the following:
A new widget, Unverified Dependent Eligibility, has been added to the Admin Dashboard. This widget will help report on any dependent that has not been verified. [BT-31842]
The "Current New Hires" widget on the "Admin Dashboard" has been enhanced to send reminders to certain employees. If an employee has not submitted a New Hire Orientation session, and has a verified e-mail, the administrator can send a reminder to that employee. [BT-24019]
A new administrator notification has been added. This notification triggers when an employee removes their previously submitted Life Event before an administrator has reviewed it. An administrator can opt into this notification on the My Notifications section, in the Life Event area. [BT-24106]

Effective June 15th, 2022, Microsoft will discontinue all support for Internet Explorer 11. Only those organizations paying for extended support will receive security updates. To make sure you have best experience possible, we recommend using the most up-to-date version of one of the following browsers:
System updates are released during our weekly scheduled maintenance window on Sundays from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM. Only when necessary, will an urgent patch be released outside the scheduled maintenance window. Bentek is committed to updating you on these changes made to the Bentek application before system maintenance is performed.
