Pending Life Events
Administrators access the Pending Life Events page from the Benefits Administration Menu or via Pending Life Events dashboard widget.
The Pending Life Events page displays Life Events submitted by employees. Pending records remain on the page until approved or denied by an administrator.
Review to Approve or Deny
Select the arrow to expand an employee's submission.
The expanded view shows type of Life Event, Event Date and Effective Date. By default, the effective date will match the event date; but these dates can be edited by administrator.
Review dates for accuracy with supporting documentation and eligibility.
The Benefits section displays pending changes to enrollment for this Life Event. The Dependents section shows pending dependents and coverage they will be enrolling in.
Select View Record Changes for a split-screen review. Use the buttons to Deny enrollment, go Back to Pending Life Events or Approve.
If you go Back to Pending Life Events, it will neither approve nor deny, but takes you back to the Pending Life Events page. The pending life event remains there until further action. Use this option if you're unsure about approval or to review again later.
Administrators can download, view or print a memorandum of employee's submission using the PDF icon to the right of employee name.
Next to that, the Delete icon will delete the Life Event record. Only delete a Life Event if submitted in error. DO NOT delete to deny a Life Event.
Life Events will continue in pending status until an Administrator approves or denies.
