Edit Employee Record
Administrators may need to edit member records for the following reasons:
- Correction of data error
- Member address changes
- Member death
Edit Member Demographics
Navigate to member record and select Edit icon.
Edit Demographics, Contact Information, or Years of Service Information and Save.
In the case of member death, enter Date of Death under Demographics section and Save. Bentek will automatically terminate all coverage appropriately.
The Date of Death field will terminate member coverage effective the day immediately following date of death. If the member was covering dependents, dependent coverage will continue through end of the month. See examples below.
- Member only: Date of Death is 1/1/2021, all coverage will terminate 1/2/2021
- Member + Dependents: Date of Death is 1/1/2021, member terminates 1/2/2021, dependents terminate 2/1/2021
