Logging Into Bentek With Multi-Factor Authentication

Multi-Factor  Authentication (MFA) is an added layer of security used to protect you  and your personal information stored in Bentek. MFA is an authentication method in which a user is granted access only after successfully presenting two or more pieces of evidence to an authentication mechanism: knowledge, possession, and inherence. Bentek will send a unique code to an external source you have provided, for example: E-mail or Phone via Text Message, which you will then enter on  the site to further authenticate yourself when logging in.

When Logging Into Bentek, if MFA is enabled on your user account, or required by your employer, an extra verification step will be presented once you have provided a valid User Name and Password.

If you do not already have a verified E-mail Address or Cell Phone Number, a setup form will appear for you to provide one or both of the mentioned methods of contact along with which you would like to be the default method for receiving your unique verification code.

To cancel the process and go back to the original login screen, you can click the "Cancel" button. To save your settings and proceed with the verification process, click "Next".

Upon clicking "Next", a verification code will be sent to your primary method of contact. If you provided a secondary method of contact, a verification link will be sent instead of a code.

Once you have completed the MFA setup form for the first time, you will be presented with a verification screen where you will enter a unique 6 digit code sent to your primary method of contact.

This verification screen will occur every time you log in to Bentek for as long as MFA is required/enabled.

Enter the 6 digit code sent to your primary method of contact and click "Verify". If you wish to cancel the process and return to the original login screen, you may click "Cancel".

Note: You will have 10 minutes to enter the code delivered to you before it expires and becomes invalid.

If you did not receive the verification code or the current code has expired, you can click the "Resend code?" link below the "Cancel" and "Verify" buttons to have a new verification code sent to your primary method of contact.

If you have setup and verified more than one method of contact, you will be able to select which method to have the verification code sent to.

Once you have completed the verification process successfully, you will be redirected to your default home screen in Bentek.
