Bentek’s Development and Client Success teams work continuously to implement new features and improvements to the Bentek software. Bentek Version 2020.8.1 includes the following key updates within the Administration and Employee Benefits Center Modules:
- Resolved an issue in which benefit election restrictions would not make exceptions for specified current elections. The site will now properly make exceptions (where applicable) for users who are currently enrolled in a designated plan. [BT-25664]
- Resolved an issue where applied offsets would not update correctly during an EBC session. Performance of the offset calculation was also improved. [BT-23919]
- Resolved an issue where future benefits where not shown correctly during EBC with subsidies added. [BT-25699]
- Updated the Wage Works Cobra Export to allow for retiree dependents. [BT-18703]
- An issue was discovered where an administrator may not be able to reinstate a plan if the employee worked at a previous entity. The administrator would receive a coverage overlap error message. This has been resolved to properly determine an overlap. [BT-25790]
- Added the ability to restrict the addition of Contingent beneficiaries for specific plans. [BT-25337 GVI]
- Added the ability for administrators to add a "Medicare Beneficiary Identifier" number on the Dependent record that can be sent on an eligibility file or on a report [BT-23874]
- Resolved an issue where calculated benefit would show incorrectly if the benefit amount was based on plan year or calendar year salaries and the employee terminated shortly after the new plan year or calendar year start with an updated salary. [BT-23305 Oviedo]
- Resolved an issue in which restrictions on enrolling or waiving dependents from a coverage would not successfully reset the dependent's enrolled/waived state. When these restrictions are applied, the site will properly reset the dependent's enrollment status when it should be restricted. [BT-25778]
- Resolved an issue where the confirmation statement would not show the proper benefit amount for some beneficiary line items for a New Hire. [BT-23105]
System updates are released during our weekly scheduled maintenance window on Sundays from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM. Only when necessary will an urgent patch be released outside the scheduled maintenance window. Bentek is committed to updating you on these changes made to the Bentek application before system maintenance is performed.
